Ak-Chin Pavilion

Ak-Chin Pavilion is one of the largest venues for musical concerts. In the past AK Chin was known as the Desert Sky Pavilion, Blockbuster Desert Sky Pavilion, Cricket Wireless pavilion, Cricket Pavilion and Ashley Furniture Home Store Pavilion. The Venue is an amphitheater situated in Phoenix, Arizona. Exact address to reach the facility is 2121 North 83rd Avenue Phoenix, Arizona 85035. The Venue seats 8,000 under a structure rooftop and an extra 12,000 on a slope behind the principle stands. It was initially known as Desert Sky Structure and was opened on November 11, 1990. Billy Joel was the first performer who performed in its inaugural ceremony. The Ak-Chin Indian Community is the current naming rights sponsor of this wonderful venue. The Venue is not situated on the tribal land. With an aggregate limit of 20,000, its ability is higher than Talking Stick Resort Field and Gila River Arena. The amphitheater’s season begins in April and shuts in October. Many Video Screens are present in the lawn of amphitheater.

The amphitheater has been utilized to hold numerous popular shows and visits, particularly in the late spring months of July and August; it has facilitated The Gigantour, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, and The Vote for change tour, The Vans Wrapped tour, Lollapalooza, Lilith Reasonable, Crüe Fest, Ozzfest and Projekt Unrest. It has facilitated the Phoenix date of the yearly Mayhem Celebration since the tour’s origin in July 2008.

The Live album “Live in Phoenix “of the Fall Out Boy was recorded in this venue on 22nd of June 2007.  The song “Cigarettes and Valentines” of the Green Day was also recorded in the Ak-Chin Pavilion.

Fall Out Boy and Paramore brought their co-featuring visit, MONUMENTOUR to The venue on 8th of August, 2014 with New Legislative issues as the opening demonstration. Lana Del Rey, joined by Courtney Cherish, conveyed her Perpetual Summer Visit to The venue on 14th May, 2015.
